East Algarve Walking football

Olhanense Veteranos invited Soccer Olhanense Strollers to a mini festival of Walking Football at the club’s José Arcanjo Stadium astro-turf pitch last weekend. SC Olhanense President Isidoro Sousa was on hand to welcome the players and get proceedings underway. All three teams won games and spectators were impressed with the quality of play especially from the older participants who were in their late 60s and one even 70+ years! Fun, fitness and friendship was the order of the day and, following the more strenuous exertions of the morning, a convivial lunch was held at Restaurante ‘O Franguinho’ where Paolo Turni was presented with a commemorative bottle of wine as Top Festival Player.
