It is our intention, subject to any further restrictions imposed by the local or national authorities, to return to our pre-Covid-19 schedule.
In an attempt to consolidate numbers into one session, there will be no more training on Wednesdays.
Unfortunately we have been informed that playing is still not possible due to COVID-19 and so training will continue as is for now. A further review will be made on August 1st as far as we have been told.
To keep you all informed about the current situation, and where we go in the future, here is the latest news on our weekly sessions.
With the current global situation with Covid-19, we as EAWF and EAFC would like to give something back (#GIVESOMETHINGBACK) to our local communities in the East Algarve and help some small businesses that are very close to our hearts but who must be struggling at the moment.
Apologies for the bombardment of notices, but as you can imagine this is a fairly fluid environment right now. EAWF has decided to suspend all sessions at both Olhao and Tavira in line with the closure of all sports facilities by both Tavira and Olhao Camaras.
Due to the closure of all municipal and cultural infrastructure by the Municipio de Tavira in response to the covid-19 pandemic, all our sessions at Tavira on Mondays and Wednesdays are suspended with immediate effect until further notice.
Mature Millers Walking Football (from Rotherham, Yorkshire) this week made their third annual pilgrimage to the Algarve and were once again hosted by East Algarve Walking Football.
We have a couple of mini tournaments coming up in March and April against the Mighty Millers/Browns, and Cirencester/Phoenix Blues.
From February 3rd 2020, the over 50s walking football sessions at Tavira will be back to a Monday morning from 9.30 am. Please let everyone know.
